Gem, Unpacked
Not a guru. Not a minimalist. Just someone who’s lived through chaos, built good systems, and wants to make things a little lighter for you too.

I’m Gem - someone people turn to when their inbox is overflowing, the tech won’t play fair, or your space and life feel like too much. I help people untangle digital, physical, and emotional clutter with grounded support and no hype.
My roots are in peer support, frontline drug counselling, advocacy, and policymaking - time walking beside people in chaos, and building systems to hold the aftermath. I’ve worked in services and fallen through them. I know how to spot what’s essential, even when everything feels like noise.
Now I live off-grid with three dogs, designing solar setups, growing in salvaged tubs, and building honest systems.
I run The Clearing House, a slow, flexible offering for people who want clarity without pressure. It includes short courses, gentle check-ins, and tools that run with or without me.
I’ve helped people set up booking systems, break down failed systems, clear old hard drives, plan off-grid lives, make peace with inboxes, and make sense of overwhelm and made a pretty thing, or two.
I’m not a life coach. I’m not a cleaner. I’m the person who shows up when you need a steady hand and a calm presence. We co-work through it - practically, gently, and with a bit of gallows humour.
This isn’t traditional coaching.
And it’s not just tidying.
It’s quiet, functional magic.
A little ruthless. A lot of heart.
Gem.
You don’t have to do it alone. The Clearing House offers calm, practical support - on your terms, at your pace.
